Puppy Kindergarten - Open Enrollment

Puppy Kindergarten Open Enrollment is for those who are unable to commit to a 6 week same day, same time class. Every class will go over a combination of the skills to be learned over the course of the 6 weeks. This is a course for puppies 6-24 weeks of age. You can choose to pay per session or buy a 6 or 10 pack of classes. Please be sure to schedule which class you will be attending on the calendar of events (make sure you are logged in and your classes will automatically appear). Online material and videos will be available to you with the course fee. Before attending a class, you are required to complete the introduction video that is available in our online courses. Once enrolled in the course, you will select the six dates you want to attend. This class is indoors at: 9500 Mall Road, Suite 209 Morgantown, WV 26501 The topics covered are: Impulse Control Relaxation Luring Behaviors such as "sit", "down", and "stand" Socialization Cooperative Care Beginning Leash work House Training, Crate Training, and Appropriate Training Tools Fun Games! If you are looking for help with something beyond that scope or more personalized training, then individual lessons are a better option for you and can be scheduled. If unsure, please ask. Additional options are available when signing up for the class: *AKC S.T.A.R Puppy Option - Attend an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy class for at least 6 weeks. Your instructor will administer the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test at the end of the course. Upon passing the test, you’ll get an application to send to AKC® for enrollment in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program. All dogs are welcome to participate in the program including purebreds and mixed breeds. If there is inclement weather that does not allow us to meet in person, the class will be completed through an online platform or alternate options will be provided. We highly recommend coming to all 6 classes over the 9 week period. If you need additional help with the curriculum you can schedule a (paid) private lesson. A minimum of 4 classes is required to graduate to the next class. This class is available to repeat again if you feel your puppy is not ready to move on. You can use a package to split between puppies, but one session is used for each puppy.
